As publisher of Storybook Online, Philip created a self-sustaining website that creates, develops, and disseminates original short stories for children. Children around the world collaborate online to write stories together. Instructor (Internet and Computer Animation)
As an instructor for the after-school program at John Muir Middle School, Philip taught 6th Grade students to make their own games and movies using Macromedia Flash. In this class, students also learned to use the Internet as a research tool while playing games that required them to find answers online. Games included trivia challenges, dinosaur hunts, and other web quests.

Philip worked with Ashley Grisso, an instructor in Media Education at San Francisco State University and University of San Francisco, to create a web site based on Grisso’s research. | Breakin’ it Down challenges teens to think critically about music videos.
